Located on beautiful Gabriola Island, Sea 'N' Stars offers an unforgettable oceanfront experience on the Salish Sea. Just minutes from the best local beaches, trails, and activities, our Gabriola Island retreat is the perfect place for a peaceful getaway. This charming retreat is the original summer cottage at Bell’s Landing, built in 1971. While it retains its rustic island character, it has been lovingly updated with natural elements that reflect the surrounding coastal environment.

A Front-Row Seat to Nature’s Magic
Start your morning with yoga, quiet meditation, or a hot beverage on the private oceanfront deck as the sun rises over the Coastal Mountain range. Bald eagles perch in the tall cedar we call “the eagle tree,” teaching their young the art of the hunt. Dine on the deck under a painted sky while seals, sea lions, and otters pass by. Sightings of orcas and humpbacks are frequent. On clear nights, you may even catch the Aurora Borealis shimmering over Entrance Island Lighthouse.

Explore the Shore and Beyond
Our beach is mostly rocky with a small sandy bay at low tide, perfect for beach combing and exploring tidal pools: seastars, anemones and other sea creatures are abundant. Fossils and petroglyphs can be found along the sandstone and rocky shoreline. Bring your paddleboard, kayak, or canoe and launch from Bell’s Landing. Paddle West to Sandwell Beach or East towards Mount Baker. For land explorers, Gabriola has more than 1000 acres of forest trails and public parklands, shared with hikers, bikers and horses. Maps are available.

Hikers, bikers, paddlers, star gazers, geo-cachers, nature enthusiasts, photographers and budding geologists will find plenty to keep you busy.

Your Private Guest Suite
-The guest suite living/dining area includes a double sofabed with memory foam mattress, large screen TV and fireplace, a kitchenette with a microwave, fridge, kettle, coffee makers and other conveniences and a dining table for four. -The separate bedroom includes: -A cozy log framed queen bed, high end linens, a daybed suitable for sleeping a small child. (playpen and adult size cot available if required). -Charging stations at each bedside table. A continental breakfast is provided. The private, well-equipped washroom includes double sinks, tub/shower, and cotton bath robes. (A shower seat is available if required). A propane BBQ is available on your private deck.

With only 2 steps up to the deck, our guest room is quite mobility friendly.
